In a sad piece of news, Owen Bush died on June 12, 2001 at the age of 79. 
He was born in Savannah, Missouri on November 10, 1921.  Owen received his 
first "big break" in Hollywood from his good friend William Frawley, who 
played Fred Mertz on "I Love Lucy."  Frawley convinced Owen to come to 
Hollywood where he quickly became a recognizable radio personality and 
television and movie character actor.  Owen Bush's extensive credits 
included regular roles on Bonanza, Peyton Place, The Andy Griffith Show, 
Our House, Manhunt and Shane as well as the movies Valley of the Dolls, 
Bonnie & Clyde, Vanishing Point, The Hand, The Last Star Fighter and The 
Apple Dumpling Gang.  As he grew as a character actor, Owen's list of 
guest-starring roles on TV series became extensive. They included: How 
the West Was Won, McMillan & Wife, Death Valley Days, Doris Day Show, Mod 
Squad, Murder She Wrote, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, Gunsmoke, Maverick, 
Streets of San Francisco, Little House on the Prairie, Dallas and Highway 
to Heaven.  Owen's last role was as the recurring character, Orville, on 
PASSIONS from November 1999 to March 2000.
